How to Conduct Better and Faster Business Meetings
Business meetings are sometime seen as a necessary evil. This is because for a lot of businesses, the meetings can drag on and on and get out of control with very little decision made at the end. Well a creative client of mine told me a way to reduce meeting time by one-third. Take the chairs away! By having a stand-up meeting, you can reduce the meeting time without impacting on the quality of the decision making process.
Some of the reasons that a stand up meeting is shorter might be:
- The sheer novelty of doing this
- You do not become too comfortable
- There is some physical motivation to quicken the meeting
Try it the next time you have to put up with a long and unproductive meeting.
